Every successful leader possesses the ability to influence and persuade others. He/she completely knows how to sell his/her ideas with his/her strong leadership qualities. Some people believe that ‘Leaders are born not made’, while in my opinion, any person who learns the below-mentioned rules can influence and convince others just like a pro. Let’s find out what these holy rules actually are:

Refrain from using ‘I think’ in your speech

A successful leader will always make you believe in his/her idea. They know and say only one thing in front of their audiences: “This is my idea and it will be a great hit”. They always believe in sticking to their plans no matter what.


Alter the frequency while speaking

While preaching a group of people, there are chances that some will agree with you, while others will not. If you know that your target customers/audiences won’t agree with you, talk fast, without taking many pauses in between. Why? Because it will give them lesser time to think of the contradictory points related to your speech.


In contrast, talking at a slower pace with the bunch of people who are likely to agree with you would give them sufficient time to analyze your views and relate their own views with yours.


Tell what makes your idea unique

There is a high possibility that people will agree with your perspective when you observe their considerations, talk about the possible consequences, and tell them how you can solve their problems. Tell them what still makes your idea more appropriate than others.


Conclude with positive phrases/lines

Okay! I’ll be giving you two sentences, and you’ve to decide which one is more powerful and encouraging.

Sentence 1: Don’t make so many blunders.

Sentence 2: Be more careful ahead.

The latter one is definitely a positive statement. This is how leaders inspire others to embrace changes. They ask them to emphasize on the bright (positive) side of the change instead of the dark (negative) one.


Selecting the best mode to communicate

Research says that if a man successfully wants to influence an unknown man, it’s better to draft a mail than to engage in a personal talk with him. And in case, you both know each other well, then go head on for personal communications. However, for ladies, personal communication is the key as they are more relationship-oriented beings.
